FOSA Continuing Education

Overview

FOSA continuing education - occasional classes and guest speakers open to an audience of FOSA and ASC members, at no cost, to enhance their understanding of contemporary archaeological techniques, method and theory.

Courses will range from informative site talks to challenging upper-level undergraduate material. Presentations are designed for an audience of highly motivated high school students and adults of all ages who have an avocational interest in the archaeology of Connecticut.

This is a FOSA program, unaffiliated with any school or university. Courses are presented at no cost.

The Courses

Each course below will have the following sections:

• an Introductory Description and Registration Information;
• a Course Syllabus which contains reading materials, weekly class descriptions, Objectives and Reference Resourcess; and,
• Images and Recordings of the classes and their associated pictures once each weekly class has been recorded. (The pictures will be shown by themselves until such time as their lecture segments have been merged with them.)

Please note that our intent is to store all of this information on the FOSA website. Thus if you happen to miss a course or class, you should be able to "take" the course or class after it's been completed.
