The 1998 meeting, was held on January 18 at the Connecticut Historical Society in Hartford, CT.

This was the first meeting held by the Friends of the Office of State Archaeology, and its purpose was to allow members to meet members of the FOSA Board of Directors, get to know one another, and discuss plans for its first full year of operation.
